I think I mentioned my son married into a game-playing family.
Well, at the last family night (great food, lots of laughter, and a good deal of noise) we were invited to play Splendor. The game has been around a while and I’m not sure how we all missed it, but it is fabulous.
The rules are simple (strategy comes with time) and you can easily have conversation over the game. It’s designed for two to four players, so it can be a couple’s game or a family night game (we now have three Splendor games so we can all play and have tournaments).
If you and your sweetie are interested in trying a new game (great for at-home date nights), I highly recommend Splendor.
