Yup, You’re Different

I am a slow processor. What that means is that I take a good while to think through something before I respond. It’s a part of my design. My husband is good at giving me the time I need without rolling his eyes or telling me to hurry up.

My husband is slow to notice certain things about people (he actually has a mild case of face blindness). I don’t give him grief for it. I even help him out as needed.

Yup, You're Different - Be kind. Show a little patience and respect when dealing with your differences.

My point in all this is that we all have our differences. We’re good at this and less so at that. We are slow here and fast there. We’re unique individuals with differing strengths and weaknesses.

Showing a little patience and respect for our differences is kind. Being impatience or judgmental over our differences just breeds defensiveness and hurt.

And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.  Luke 6:31  ESV
