It’s that time of year for me. I have to make sure the 2017 bookkeeping is all pretty and tied up with a bow. There will be forms to fill out, reports to create, and end-of-year letters to send. I also have some financial goals set for 2018 so I need to create a couple of spread sheets to make sure I’m on track.
I will own that paperwork can be pretty overwhelming, but it is a necessary evil. I figure if it’s something you have to do, you might as well figure out how to do it well and stay on top of it.
Each year I review how things have gone the previous year and look for ways to improve. Though it is a busy season for me, I know if I will step through the process I will get it all done.
If you play a significant role in the paper chase at your house, do what you can to organize your papers and keep them current. If hubby is the paperwork guy, ask what you can do to make his job easier. It’s the kind and helpful thing to do.
