Clean and Tidy
My sweetie was gone last weekend (a men’t retreat). When he’s gone I work on bookkeeping (the house is quiet) and housework (it’s just easier to do with no one underfoot).
It always amazes me how calm and peaceful the house feels when it’s clean and tidy.
I need to do better about a cleaning schedule and doing regular pickups. It’s not the most scintillating work, but the impact is pretty significant. It makes doing life easier and I think it also tells my man I care (he does most of the cooking now and he noticed I cleaned the stove top!).
Make time to regularly clean your home, especially those areas that affect your sweetie.
There’s something about a clean house, a clean room. It does wonders for the psyche. Brain Sansoni
