You Need Sleep
Do you know how much sleep you need? (Most people need 7-9 hours to be truly rested.)
When you’re tired you live in a haze. Accidents happen. It’s harder to focus clearly or make good choices. Learning is slowed and it’s easy to become short-tempered. You wear your body out at a faster fate than just normal aging. A chronic lack of sleep can reduce your sex drive and lead to some pretty serious health issues.
This is just plain bad for you and most of this stuff winds up being pretty hard on your marriage relationship too.
You need sleep.
I used to feel guilty about sleeping. I had so much to do. Now I gracefully accept that my body is designed to need sleep and I look forward to being more alert and creative when I wake up. It’s the price I pay to have a healthier, happier life and it’s a plus for my marriage.
What do you need to do to make time for a reasonable amount of sleep?
