It’s easy to fall into the rut of talking about work, the kids, or the neighbor’s dog. Certainly those things are not bad, but if they are all you talk about, your conversations will become somewhat small and/or dull. Years of that and your marriage can suffer.
My challenge to you this month is to look for new or interesting things to share with your husband. Do you have a new neighbor? Welcome them to the neighborhood and share your experience with your husband (maybe invite them to dinner). What funny thing did your kids do today? Did you watch an interesting TV show? Share that. What are you reading? What new projects are you working on? Have you tried a new kind of coffee or gone to a new restaurant with friends?
