Romantic Cards Giveaway

January 7, 2017

in the generous life

I’ve been playing around with the card making again.  :)

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’ve made a set of “You Color It” Romance Cards. They’re available in my Etsy shop, so ordering is neat and clean. (You can also order the cards finished out.)

Etsy: DoodlesFromTheHeart

The cards are blank inside, but each has a sentence to finish.

I love you because …
I love you more than …
We go together like …

They are printed on 6.5″ x 5″ ivory cards, envelopes included.

To celebrate my new shop, I’m having a giveaway!

To enter, please share a romantic idea as a comment to this post.

What was the most romantic gift you’ve given your husband?
What was your most romantic date?
 a romantic game idea
What does romance mean to you?
 a fun romantic text

I’ll pick two random numbers on January 14th (one month out from Valentine’s Day) and two posters will each win a set of cards (sorry, US only).

Oh, if it be to choose and call thee mine, love, thou art every day my Valentine!  Thomas Hood

Romance to me is when my husband speaks my primary love language–words of affirmation!

How fun! Perhaps the most romantic thing I’ve given him are the flavored oil or something skimpy for me to wear. Neither of us is all that ‘romantic’. Though the best dates are when we sit and talk, drink or eat something yummy and just spend time together. If it ends with physical intimacy, that’s great, if not, that’s okay, too. So, I guess that means romance just means him paying attention to me in some special way.

One year we were gifted a GC to a fancier restaurant. When we made reservations they asked us if it was a special day and I told them it was our anniversary. Our menu was printed with our anniversary & names on it!!! And they brought us a free appetizer & a free dessert. We just felt so spoiled and special!

I think a well planned scavenger hunt would be fun with the “treasure” being anything from candy treats to, a restaurant , to …… the …… bedroom? Skies the limit!

A romantic date we had was on our special date of Friday, February 13….that’s when he first gave me a Valentine after lunch in the Bean (cafeteria at Abilene Christian University) our freshman year.
So years later I guess it was in 2015 because I was pregnant with our son, we went there for lunch on Friday, February 13. It had changed so much but was fun to go back and enjoy that time together and remember our early days. I think we also visited the spot where he proposed on campus.

My husband is a hunter and I like to sneak a surprise into his bag when he is gone on a hunting trip…a note, a picture, a pair of sexy panties. I know he smiles when he discovers a surprise that says “I love you” when he is far away from home and his Bride.

I think some of our most romantic moments are the simple ones…like slow dancing in the living room.

It comes from a childrens book but we changed it a bit.
I’ll love you forever.
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living my sweetheart you’ll be!
Signed many love notes with that.

We are pretty practical here, but I think the most romantic things we’ve done for each other are writing notes. We really need to get back into that!

Otherwise, bringing the other something edible is always really nice and the little things, like looking out for each other and helping with something you’re not so interested in (like “hunting for treasure” in the local Salvation Army…again!). :)
