Themes of Injury

in the generous life

I was talking to a friend and we each shared a number of hurtful things in our past.

It just seems that the enemy works in our lives in themes. I think he looks for those areas where we will excel and creates a terrible hurt there.

Perhaps it’s something like being called “stupid” or being told “you’ll never amount to much.” I had one friend that was a happy child turned angry by being told again and again that she was an angry person.

Are there themes like that in your life or in your husband’s life?

Themes of Injury - Stand together on the truth.

Stand with each other and begin to speak truth. Help each other walk away from those themes of personal destruction.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.  Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a  ESV

Prayer Prompt  Ask God to help you identify those hurtful themes and begin to stand together on the truth.
