I was sitting out in my backyard writing when I looked over and saw my dog, Widget, doing this.
I had to laugh. He was enjoying himself, rolling around and then chewing a stick and then rolling around some more. I thought about how easy it was for him to play. God’s creation rolling around in the beauty of the rest of his creation.
I need to learn to play like that (not so much the rolling in grass and chewing on sticks, just the play part). I never really learned to play as a child, though I did a bit of playing with my children when they were small. I do enjoy playing the card game golf with friends and Zentangle is creative play for me.
Play is healthy. What does play look like for you? For you and your husband?
