I was gifted with the sweetest of birthday gifts (thanks, Hannah, Laura & Cheryl of Hanaura Crafts!).
I thought I would share it with y’all. It’s an amazing bit of handiwork (I’m told it took about 7 hours to make) and it’s a thoughtful gift too. I’m a bibliophile (I love, love, love books) and I write The Generous Wife so this book sculpture is a uniquely personalized gift (I see a cross in the “T” as well, so as a Jesus follower I find it very cool).
(Widget liked it too!)
And because I can’t help myself (here comes the generous application) … we can learn from this in our gift giving to our guys. Take into consideration your husband’s interests and preferences when choosing a gift.
Does he need a new shirt? Buy one in his favorite color. Does he want a new drink bottle? Get one labeled with his favorite sport team. What does he talk about? What does he gravitate toward?
Listen, observe and learn. Gift creatively.
