A Present! For Me?

in the generous life

My husband is God’s gift to me.

He gives great hug. He helps me laugh and not take myself too seriously. He’s an awesome techie (I would not be online without him). He challenges me to be more mature (sometimes by modeling it for me and sometimes by needing grace and forgiveness).

I look at out lives and I see God’s goodness reaching out to me through all that my husband is and does.

Your husband is God’s gift to you.

My husband is one of my greatest blessings from God. His love is a gift that I open every day.  Darlene Schacht

What a great reminder! Our spouses are a gift. Funny, or not so funny, that we have to remind ourselves of it. I just finished reading a great new book called “The Wholehearted Wife: 10 Keys to a More Loving Relationship,” by Erin, Greg and Gary Smalley. Biblical, inspirational, affirming. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you want to have a more loving relationship with your husband, remember that he’s a gift from God, a treasured possession – just as you are. As a Wholehearted wife, seek to honor him each day by cherishing him and affirming his value. Treat him like a Stradivarius!” I highly recommend it!
