Special Delivery

May 13, 2014

in the generous life

I don’t know about y’all, but I just love getting packages or delivered items. It’s like a little bit of Christmas in my day.  :)

Why not create a little delivery fun of your own for your husband?

Ask a friend to deliver cookies (or other goodies) to his place of work.
Order delivery pizza for dinner.
Subscribe to his favorite magazine (a great monthly gift in the mail).
Create a bedroom gift basket (with lotion, lube, etc.).
Order flowers or a plant (depends on your guy).
Personally deliver his favorite coffee.

Just ask yourself what it is that he enjoys and find a creative way to deliver it.

There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved.   Charles Morgan

My husband has always enjoyed having me bake him something special. He bragged that I made the best pies this side of the Mississippi. Unfortunately the past few years have aroused the cholesterol demon and the sweet treats have had to be set aside. I love him too much to kill him with sweets!

Recently we discovered a great book, Wheat Belly, written by a cardiologist. The accompanying cookbook includes sweets without lots of carbs and also without artificial sweeteners. I’ll be watching the clock this evening and my Honey will be greeted tonight after his meeting with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies packing an amazing carb count of 2 grams!

Love is resourceful.

I’m low carbin’ it too. Wow! 2 grams. That’s pretty amazing. What a blessed man he is to have you looking out for his health and his enjoyment.
