in the generous life

Is there a couple that you know that seems to have a great marriage?

Invite them over for lunch. Get to know them. If it seems like a good fit, build a friendship and learn from their marriage strengths.

Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.  John C. Crosby

Regarding this post, I might also ask, “Is there a couple that you know that seems to be struggling in their marriage?” If you have a solid marriage, you might also bring this couple into your life, so they can see how you and your spouse interact.

Thanks for a wonderful website. I enjoy reading it each morning.

Good point. Years ago Paul and I befriended a young couple and we didn’t do anything special other than hang out and share life (didn’t even know their marriage was in trouble). Years later they said we saved their marriage. Boy, were we surprised. It’s amazing what a little friendship and care can do.
