Beyond the Bounds of the Box

in the generous life

My husband and I have been doing more dreaming about the RV trip around the US.

Paul is a first class champion at out-of-the-box thinking. I’m doing much better because I’ve been living with a champion for 29 years.

We’re exploring options and as we go along we’ve been finding more options and even more options.

Things that we’ve seen as limitations (like debt) aren’t really the limitations we thought they were (being in an RV would reduce our expenses and make debt easier to pay off). It’s been an interesting journey. I’m not sure where we will land, but the mental exercise has been fun and the dream is still alive.

I mention this because there are probably some situations in your life where you think, “I can’t do [whatever] because of this or that.” I encourage you to have another go at it. There are really more options than you might expect. You or your husband might be able to go back to school. You actually can write that book. There is a way for you to get marriage counseling or coaching.

Give yourself plenty of time to consider more options. Team up with your man and look for ways to make it happen.

We live fulltime in our RV and we are happy to help if you need any help. It’s a blast!

Thanks, I may have a few questions for you as we go along (we are still in the research stage). Aside from the fact that we eventually want to travel, we think that downsizing to an RV will be a great move toward reducing debt and reducing our stuff. When you live in a smaller home, you only keep the things you need for living or that have personal value.

Well, I’ll be checking back to hear what comes of your research on cross country RV trips. My husband and I are waiting for the day when we can attempt this adventure with our 3 boys. However, we would like to be done with the toddler stage before that happens!
