Take a Break, Hon

in the generous life

♥ ♥ ♥ 16 days until Valentine’s Day ♥ ♥ ♥

From The Generous Wife archive:

Your husband’s down time is important. It’s how he relaxes and how he recharges.

How accepting are you of his friends? Do you make room for his interests and hobbies?

Does he need alone time or someone to snuggle on the couch?

Be aware and encourage him to get the down time he needs.

Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.  Ovid

Thank you for this reminder! I know as a homemaker and mom I can run around all day and when I see my husband decompressing I sometimes get jealous! I think we also need to make time to take a break too and encourage his breaks.

It’s funny that you chose a pix of a guitar player. With the snow we had here in GA my husband is home for the day and just posted his first youtube of one of his songs, “Sing for the King.”

I must say I haven’t always been generous with his “hobby” but I have been trying the last couple years. It’s been amazing to watch him blossom and I am being blessed by his excitement for God.
