Trouble Shooting

in the generous life

Have a sit down talk with your husband about Thanksgiving (for those outside of the US, you can get a head start working on Christmas).

Now is the time to work through any potential problems. Create word or hand signals for when you need help or decide how you will handle it if Uncle Henry starts drinking too much or Grandma Elsie starts complaining about your children’s manners.

Talk through what you are looking forward to and what you may struggle with. How you can help each other navigate the challenges of the day and enjoy this season of gratitude.

Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence.  Erma Bombeck

Navigating the potential pitfalls ahead of time that typically happen each year with a game plan and being on the same page with your husband is so easy and simple that I think we often overlook this great tip! Thanks
