Sunday Prayer

November 3, 2013

in the generous life

It’s the first Sunday of the month so it’s time for a cyber prayer meeting! Please pray for all the generous wives and their marriages.

Thank you so much for all these generous wives. Please honor their desire to bless their husband and grow their marriage. Teach them about their husband and help them learn to do what works for their unique marriage.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Feel free to write specific prayer needs as a comment to this post. Remember that this is a public place, so please be discreet and kind.

Dear Lord,
Let us all honor you and glorify your Name in all that we do, but especially in how we love the people around us and how our marriages are. Use our marriages to bring us closer to you, see you more clearly and understand you better. You are the Father of our marriages, and I pray that we all would look to you in times of difficulty in our homes.
Thank you Father!

Heavenly Father, help me to be gracious and kind, tenderhearted and understanding during this time as my husband grieves the loss of his mother. Help me to be in tune with the times that he needs me, and how I can best assist him. Help me to be understanding when he wants to be alone or with extended family and friends, and not to be selfish and jealous. Help us, Lord, as a couple to grow closer through this time, not farther apart. Help me to be a soft, quiet place to land, a balm to my husband so that YOU can show him YOUR love through me. Help me to see those sinful things in me that should change, not only in my marriage, but individually as well. Be my strength and give me wisdom to do the extra tasks that I have taken on to relieve the burdens on my husband’s shoulders during this time. Help me as I mourn the loss of my mother-in-law also. Let us, in the days, weeks, months and years ahead, honor her memory by making our family the best that it can be. Thank you, Father, that you love us, and hear us, and not for one second leave us alone. Amen

Lord, thank you for my husband. He is a precious gift. Help me to be the wife you created me to be and love him unconditionally as you love me.
