Lately my husband has been challenging his preferences.
I think it started with oatmeal.
As a kid he hated it. He hasn’t tried it in many, many years, so he tried a bowl … and liked it. That lead to putting nuts in different food and quinoa. All things he didn’t like in the past, but in trying them again he’s finding new things to enjoy.
I got to wondering how many things have I put on a shelf because I tried them and didn’t like them … years ago. Certainly some foods, but the same could be said for certain sex positions or sports or restaurants. You get the idea.
So I’m rethinking life as I know it, challenging what I have thought of as preferences. More adventures ahead.
It’s fun doing new things.[or new old things!] Rick Baker
