Stand With Him

October 2, 2013

in the generous life

My husband has faced some monumental problems lately.

Flat out, it’s been really tough.

I couldn’t fix anything for him, but I could listen to him, pray for him and let him know that I believed in him (and in God’s work in and through him).

The problems are slowly being resolved, but it’s exhausting hard work.

How nice to have a spouse that is on your team and believes in you.

Be there to listen to (and pray for) your husband’s concerns. Some days his world is hard or exhausting or stressful (or all of the above). Be on his team. Let him know that he does not stand alone.

By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.  Ecclesiastes 4:12  MSG

In the US there is an ongoing tussle over health insurance. Not sure which way it will go, but if you are looking for something reasonable that provides for your medical costs, check out The Health Co-op (it qualifies under the Affordable Health Care act). My husband and I have been using it for over a year and we are very happy with it.

This was such a nice post, it reminded me of a line in the song, “When the Rain Comes” by Third Day: I can’t stop the rain, But I will hold you ’til it goes away.
