Last night, I took a whole mess of books, toys and whatnot to Just Between Friends (consignment sale event).
My husband was amazing. Not only did he help me drag in many boxes of my stuff, he helped two other friends of mine with their many, many, many boxes.
He offered his time and muscle … a very needed gift to three very tired women.
He is (you guessed it) a generous husband.
Yes, it can be personally expensive to give of your time and energy that way, but that kind of generosity changes the atmosphere of your relationships in a wonderful way. I am so appreciative of what he did.
I take that sort of thing to heart. Are there opportunities for me to serve my husband too?
How about you? What would bless your husband? What kind of help or encouragement would make his day? Let outrageous generosity sweeten the atmosphere of your relationship.
