Slow and Steady

in the generous life

From The Generous Wife archive:

My husband and I have been a part of a  Financial Peace University  class going on 10 weeks now. In the last teaching video, Dave Ramsey was talking about building wealth and how a billionaire advised him to take the story of The Tortoise and the Hare  to heart.

Both my husband and I made the marriage connection.

Daily investing in your marriage in little ways will over the long haul make for marriage wealth. Yes, it’s great to buy an over-the-top gift or plan a romantic getaway, but it’s the day in and day out acts of kindness, love, thoughtfulness and respect that will really make the difference.

It’s the turtle that finishes strong.

This is a wonderful connection. I’m working on not being so negative and critical -especially to my husband. I like to imagine a “positive bank” and “negative bank” and I want to make sure I’m putting more coins in the PB than the NB!! :) Blessings to you.
