Look Up

August 2, 2013

in the generous life

How much eye contact do you make when you’re talking with your husband?

I’m guilty of not looking up when Paul is talking to me. I’m busy or I’m “multitasking.”

You don’t have to look at your husband all the time (that can actually feel a bit creepy), but do spend some time acknowledging him in discussion by looking at him.

It shows that you are paying attention and that he matters to you.

Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.  Simone Weil

Stand and Inspire: Can You Stop Complaining? Thanks, Lori (of Encourage Your Spouse), for pointing out this great post.

To Love, Honor and Vacuum: Review of Larry Crabb’s Fully Alive: A Biblical Vision of Gender I’m seriously going to have to check out this book (my “to read” pile is getting dangerously tall again).

Are you shopping online this weekend? Please start on the Shop and Support TGW page. It won’t change your purchase price, but I will receive a small commission.
