Play for the Season

August 1, 2013

in the generous life

What season of the year is it where you live? What kind of activities can you do that you can’t do any other season (or that are better done in your current season)?

Where I live it’s summer. The days are fairly hot and the evenings are cool. My husband and I can enjoy a recreational fire in the evening, run through the sprinklers or play croquet in the back yard.

Make a list of thing you can do and then invite your husband to play before the season changes.

All seasons have something to offer.  Jeannette Walls

Thanks for sharing my post, Lori.

Our summer, and opportunities for seasonal recreation, have not tourned out the way I hoped. My mom has been in the hospital for a month, and my hubby was recently sick for 2 weeks (very rare for him). So my dreams of relaxing summer recreation have been squashed! But, mom is recovering, Dan is well, and we are going on vacation in a week. So I have hopes of redeeming some summer fun!

I love this! I totally made a bucket list of things to do this summer, and haven’t gotten to all of it yet. Thanks for the reminder. We’re still planning to hit the beach at the end of the month, and go camping in early September. We missed this fair this weekend due to work schedules & injuries, but here’s to hoping for next year!

Thank you for linking up with BHE Marriage Moments Mondays!
