Take a Break

Yup. That’s it. That’s my post for the day.

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.  Psalm 23:2  ESV

(I was reading Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (paperbackKindle) and I was convicted again about how we all need times of rest.

Little moments during the day, a day out of every week, extended periods during the year. These breaks refresh us and give us time to reflect, dream and connect with God. I know it’s hard to make that happen and it requires planning and intentionality, but it is so important to our overall health (emotionally, physically, relationally, spiritually) which in turn impacts our marriages.

The Forgiven Wife: The Heart of Gomer Today must be the day for must-read posts.

Just a reminder … if you are following The Generous Wife by Google’s RSS Reader, it is going away in on July 1st. I’ve switched to NetVibes. It apparently does a number of cool things, but I’m using it as an RSS reader. It works for me.

Thanks! It is like I need permission to take a break. I am tired and need one. So, why do I keep going? Baaaa! That must be why He MAKES me lie down, eh?

I don’t know that I’d want to lie down in green pastures…. bugs might get me! But I can trust that God will take care of me even if they do.

Have a blessed day!!! Love your daily encouragement. Praying for you…..
