Little Inconveniences

June 12, 2013

in the generous life

We have a single driveway at our house (we bought an older home). We created a small parking pad next to the drive way for our son’s truck (when he used to live with us). Well, now that he’s moved out he typically pulls up behind our car in the driveway when he visits. Love the visits. Not so much the parking job.

It’s not a big deal. You ask him to move his car and he’s happy to do so. It would just be more convenient if he parked in the other spot.

Life has a lot of those little inconvenient things going on. Why not ask your husband if there is anything you can do to be more convenient for him. And, at a good time and in a kind way, ask for his help over the things that are an inconvenience to you. Get practical and create some workarounds.

I figure it’s a good thing to reduce the friction in your lives.

I just had to share this. I asked my husband today what I could do to be more convenient for him. His response? Stop wearing panties and maybe bend over more frequently. And here I was worried he was going to ask me to get up with the baby every time during the night or something. Not wearing panties sounds like a breeze! In more than one way I suppose. :-)
