Gracious and Quick to Forgive

May 12, 2013

in the generous life

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Colossians 3:12-13a  NIV

That’s a tall order. We are called to be a gracious people, quick to forgive.

I think it would be amazing if all Christian marriages looked like this.

As an exercise you might try reading this scripture at the beginning of each day for a week. Ask the Lord to show you how to live this out, especially in your marriage relationship. At the end of week look back at all you’ve learned and how much you’ve grown.

Great suggestions, Lori! Adam and I try to read Scripture together and pray together nightly. I try to set aside every morning some time to do personal devotions. But it doesn’t always happen. This is a great encouragement to keep at it! I’m so glad you linked up with Becoming His Eve Marriage Moments Mondays!
