Gracious Speech

May 8, 2013

in the generous life

I know I’ve mentioned this a couple of times recently, but gracious words are amazing. I’ve had a number of opportunities lately to see the effects of gracious speech. The fallout is beautiful. People relax. They feel loved and valued. Relationships grow.

Speak with a kind tone of voice. Ask instead of assuming. Compliment. Speak encouraging words. Say “please” and “thank you.”

These things give life and build relationships. Definitely something to practice.

A gentle tongue is a tree of life …  Proverbs 15:4a  ESV
