Celebrate His Way

April 6, 2013

in the generous life

My husband’s birthday was yesterday.

We went out for a meal with our son and caught a movie.

This may seem a bit boring or ordinary for some, but realize that it is just what my husband wanted and it was his day. He didn’t really want presents. He wanted time with the people he loved doing the things he enjoyed.

And I guess that’s my point.

Celebrating is important and you need to do what blesses the person that the celebrating is about.

If your guy wants to sleep in. Let him sleep in. If he loves presents, plan to give him small presents on the hour all day long. If he wants to work on a project, give him elbow room. If he wants his favorite meal, serve it up.

Show your sweetie that you love and appreciate him by celebrating his way.
