From The Generous Wife archive:
One of my favorite restaurants covers their tables in paper and leaves a cup of crayons for the patrons to have a bit of creative fun. My husband and I write little notes to each other and I love to draw, so I just have a creative moment or two.
Not all restaurants allow for such creativity, but many have paper napkins. Slip a pen from your purse and write a love note on your napkin. When your husband is not looking, swap your napkin out with his.
Sometimes nothing speaks louder than a silent word written on a piece of paper. David Lowenherz
