Hey, God, It’s Me Lori

in the generous life

Yesterday I spent a long time praying for … myself.

Honestly, at first it felt a bit awkward.

I pray for things all the time and many of those things impact my life. I pray “God help!” prayers (just being real). But I can’t remember when I actually spent time praying about all the areas of my life. My list is usually full of the needs of people around me.

It was a real eye opener and it felt good to talk to God about what I struggle with, what I want and need, what is going on in my life. It’s lovely to spend time with Him and settle into His presence.

I recommend it.

Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.  John 16:24b  ESV
