Your husband's down time is important. It's how he relaxes and how he recharges.
How accepting are you of his friends? Do you make room for his interests and hobbies?

Does he need alone time or someone to snuggle on the couch?
Be aware and encourage him to get the down time he needs.
Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop. Ovid

I do think this is a wonderful gift! However I find so many couple’s books and advice sites proclaim the important of this for men but never mention women. Am I the only female that feels a minimum of 30 minutes of uniterrupted downtime is a must to keep my sanity? Cooking, doing dishes etc just don’t calm me the way a good book or favorite tv show does.

@Kathy Marriage is a two way street. Yes, gals need down time too. Ask for what you need if it doesn’t happen easily.
