Clean off your dining table. Set out place mats or put something pretty in the middle. Make it easy to sit for a meal or a cup of coffee.
When you sit at a meal come prepared with a question or two. Come also with something to share, though a bit of companionable silence is OK too.
Shared table moments can be amazingly intimate ... and fun too!

Love this! My husband and I always make eating at our table a priority, although it definitely does need cleaning off. My table and snackbar is a catch all for everything that comes in the house it seems lol.

Good point. I do try to keep nice placemats and often flowers on the kitchen table. It’s the first thing we see when we walk in the back door, and it’s the place where we eat most of our meals. Of course, it often morphs into “Mom’s office” too…
