You Probably Shouldn’t Watch It On the Plane

Filed under: to consider,to do — The Generous Wife @ 1:30 am

♥ ♥ ♥ 27 days to Valentine's Day! ♥ ♥ ♥

I have seen this commercial a few times (I don't have regular TV, but it's popped up on Hulu).

I know we all fuss about our culture and how it's so marriage unfriendly. Well this commercial is not. It's funny and sweet. It uses relatively normal looking people (love the tutu on the little girl) and it's clear the couple has something good going on. Yeah, Samsung.  :)

(If you can't see the video click here to watch it on YouTube.)

I like her creative idea, the bit of tease to it and, really, it fit within their lives in a fun way.

We are creative gals. Surely we can do likewise. I'm not necessarily talking about making a phone video. I'm suggesting that we give some thought to being creative, planning a surprise now and then and generally growing our marriages in the chaos of life.

Creativity is ... seeing something that doesn't exist already. You need to find out how you can bring it into being and that way be a playmate with God.  Michele Shea

I also like this commercial! It was so surprising in a good way. So many shows and commercials have explicitly inappropriate examples of relationships sexually and more. This commercial reminds me that my guy wants some flirtation like when we dated, he wants some unexpected risk (because that video might be a risk for some women) and he wants to mix things up and not soothe same things to keep the romance going. Here’s to tying something new in the next week to show my hubby I love him:)

My husband LOVES that commercial! And I agree…love seeing a commercial that’s actually marriage friendly!

Awesome, hilariousness! I love this. What a great way to keep the home fires burning while traveling! I’m guessing this was the longest flight this guy ever had, just waiting till he could watch! Beats all of the horrible films where we see some guy slipping off his wedding ring when some girl sits next to him on the plane.
    Thanks for sharing!

So – during the Christmas season, did you see the version of this commercial with Santa and Mrs. Claus? I kid you not, hubby and I both cracked up because we found the original so fun (and funny! – or possibly because our age is closer to Santa’s than to the young couple ;) , with Mrs. Claus telling Santa,”You probably shouldn’t watch it on the sleigh”…

@Nancy, my husband told me about, but I missed it. I bet I can find it on YouTube.
