If Necessary

Filed under: to do — The Generous Wife @ 1:30 am

♥ ♥ ♥ 32 days to Valentine's Day ♥ ♥ ♥

Preach the gospel at all times. If necessary, use words.  Francis of Assisi

I've always liked this quote.

In sharing it, I don't mean to diminish or disdain the power of words. I just want to point out that actions have great power as well.

When you take the time to serve someone you are saying you are willing to give of your time and energy to "speak" love to them. (This is especially important if your husband is an "acts of service" kind of guy.)

This week, look for ways to show love, kindness, and generosity to your husband.

If necessary, use words.

Hi Lori – Thanks so much for linking to my post. Thanks also for the reminder to look for ways to love and serve my husband this week.

Oh, I like that quote too! Great reminder to use our actions not just “blah, blah, blah”. It speaks to my weaknesses – that I need to get up off my behind and DO something. So. No words this week – just action. ;-) Thanks, Lori!

My husband is struggling with a tremendous amount of burdens and is discouraged. If you could pray for him to let go of what he can and find joy again I would be deeply grateful.
