I’ve been asking people about their New Year resolutions. (I have to ask questions, I can’t help myself.) It’s been really quite interesting listening to people talk about change and what they want to do with their lives.
I have a confession to make.
I don’t always get it together for New Year’s Day. In fact, this year I don’t have a single resolution.
I have, however, developed an ongoing attitude of being open to change and growth. Life gets boring and things go badly if I don’t.
For those of us who are not on top of it (like me) or want to do things a little differently (I guess that is me too), why not consider focusing on making one new habit or pick a theme for your year (like joy or generosity or creativity). I’ve been reading a number of blogs and one idea I like is picking three words for your year. The idea is to keep them in mind and let them shape your life.
If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies. Author Unknown
