This Little Light of Mine

December 16, 2012

in the generous life

Time for a bit more prayer during this holiday season …

Father, would you watch over each marriage, each family. Please keep them safe while traveling. Help each of them to be a light this season, as many remember your birth. Help them navigate tough relationships and love on family and friends. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:14-16 NIV

We could use some prayers for our finances. It seems costs are rising all around. My husband recently took a second job to help out, but we’re praying that will only have to be for a short time.

Please pray for my marriage. My husband is having an affair. I don’t know if he wants to work on the marriage.

Hi, “W”. I’m certainly praying for your situation. Please look for support and encouragement from your family, friends and/or church. This is something that you don’t want to walk alone in.

@Darcy I’m praying for your finances and the finances of other generous wives. It’s a rough time in our economy and we all need inventive ideas and opportunities to make a little extra.

We are a military family and my husband will be gone most of next year. We have been struggling since our move to WA to get friends and get involved in church. Personally my walk with God is improving (spending time with Him and His Word), but I feel so disconnected from others especially when my husband is gone.
