31 Days to Great Sex Giveaway

December 10, 2012

in the generous life

Sheila Gregoire has recently released an e-book entitled 31 Days to Great Sex.

Well, I’ve been reading a copy and I think it’s an absolutely terrific book. So terrific, in fact, that:

I’d like to give away a copy. Please share your favorite holiday date idea as a comment to this post and I’ll randomly pick a winner on Friday. (If you win, and you’ve already purchased the book, Sheila will send you a copy of her paperback, The Good Girl’s Guide to Great Sex.)

and

I’d like to encourage y’all to buy a copy as a Christmas gift for yourself and hubby or use it as a New Year challenge to grow your marriage.

Who is this book for?

This book is intended for married couples who want to experience real intimacy and ecstasy in the bedroom. (That’s a quote from her book. I just liked it, so I swiped it.)

What’s in it?

31 days of learning, sharing, growing and more.

Each day has a new topic and a new challenge. All aspects of intimacy are explored – emotional, physical, spiritual.

There are some technical sexual how-to’s, but there are challenges that have to do with attitudes and days of playing together as a couple. It’s like a really fun, crazy, encouraging workbook.

What I liked about it:

Sheila’s very understanding and conversational. I think you would have a hard time being embarrassed if you were talking over a cup of coffee at her kitchen table (OK, some of the sex talk might cause you to blush, but she’s cool about it).

I also liked the practical, do-ableness of what she suggests. Yes, there will be areas of struggle, but that’s the idea. Work through it all. Enjoy the easy and grow where you struggle. You’ll learn a lot and get closer to your sweetie.

So grab a copy of 31 Days to Great Sex. At $4.99 it’s a steal (or a really great and inexpensive gift).

As a lovely bonus, I’ll be sharing a guest post from Sheila on Friday when I announce a winner!

We don’t have kids yet, so one of our favorite Christmas “dates” is to get some gouda cheese, wine, crackers, and summer sausage and snuggle up together in our living room with a movie or a game. Gift-opening is sometimes included!

A holiday date would be doing last minute shopping & then grabbing lunch.

My favorite holiday date idea would be to snuggle up in pj’s while drinking hot chocolate and eating christmas goodies.

We don’t really have a holiday date kind of thing that we do… I guess we like to go Christmas shopping together, go out to dinner, that kind of thing.

My favorite holiday treat us when we bake cookies as a family and then enjoy a “private” celebration after our daughter is asleep. Tis the season for love!

There is a fancy hotel here with HUGE indoor gardens and they are known for their Christmas decorations. Every year, we walk through together and take lots of pictures!

There is usually a movie out around Christmas time that my husband and I both want to see, so we do that and finish up our Christmas shopping together. This year it’s The Hobbit. :-)

We haven’t had a date in awhile. Long work hours, little ones, and lack of funds. Thank you for the ideas and the giveaway.

The other night, I surprised my husband with an invitation to a Baby it’s cold outside date. We dressed in pjs, made homemade pizza shaped and decorated in holiday themes, listened to old Christmas music on vinyl, watched a Christmas movie snuggled beneath a pile of blankets before the pellet stove and Christmas tree then snuggled and talked while eating thin mints and sipping on hot cocoa with snowman, French vanilla marshmallows. I even bought a can of fake snow to play with. My hubby and I are so busy we frequently lose the connection with each other while it seems everything else rises to the surface. This book could really help my marriage.

Spending the day at the mall, holding hands and Christmas shopping and having a nice meal in a restaurant to relax and enjoy each other before we continue shopping!

My hubby and I live far from family and often cannot visit family on the actual holiday. So we celebrate for two by cooking a turkey breast in the slow cooker, chilling a bottle wine , and then enjoying a relaxing holiday dinner together.

I don’t have a date idea – we’re still adjusting to having a little one in the house and the changes it has brought to our relationship.

Love the idea but can it help with a wife who has arthritis in her back & severe nasal drip and is only 41? A marriage that has been sexless for many, too many years? How’s this a giveaway if I have to buy it? Title is a bit misleading.

My husband & I have been married 22 years, and each Christmas we buy an ornament for the tree that reflects something that happened in our lives the past year – the rollerblader the year our oldest learned to skate, an ambulance last year when hubby got accepted to paramedic school. an angel the year we lost our infant daughter. A great night is a cup of hot chocolate, and bringing down the ornament box and recounting all of these events, and what we’ve been through. We laugh, reminisce and kiss.
