Touch Him

December 7, 2012

in the generous life

A couple of times between now and Christmas, give extra attention to your husband’s body.

Give him a long shoulder and neck massage.  While you’re watching TV rub his feet and calves.  If you’re going to make love, take time to explore, touch, kiss, and stroke. Slow down and appreciate your husband’s body. (If he wants to do the same for you, say yes.)

I think that many of us are touch hungry.  Giving your husband that extra time of attention and touch is really good for you both.

His body is like polished ivory decorated with lapis lazuli.   Song of Songs 5:14b  NIV

This is a good reminder as we head into the slightly crazy weeks before Christmas. Thanks.

I got some gift certificates to a spa for pastor appreciation month so I am treating Justin and I to an hour long couples massage on Monday. Certainly my touch is enjoyable to him but trained hands together is also a very appealing idea to me. Thanks for another great suggestion!
