Bring On the Calm

November 28, 2012

in the generous life

The holiday season can be stressful for all and really that is quite a shame. It can be such a lovely season of family closeness, joy and remembrance of all that is good.

One way you can help yourself and your family is to speak words of calm.

Saying “it’s alright” or “let’s take a break” can change the mood and help people de-stress. You can also ask questions like, “Remember when?” and invite people into moments of connection (whether that is asking for a kiss or inviting people to play a board game).

Pause. Take a breath. Speak something that helps everyone slow down, relax and connect with others.

I feel like saying we need to all calm down a little. Let’s take the time to breathe. Pauline Marois

Becoming His Eve: Make A Together Let’s List This would be a great idea to start now and then connect with your sweetie in the New Year for making plans.

Jarod Wilson: Titles And Labels This is not, strictly speaking, a marriage post. It is, however, profoundly about self-perception, which in the long run will effect your marriage relationship.
