I find post ideas in the oddest of places.
I was sitting on my living room couch brainstorming ideas, my mind running over concepts and my eyes not really seeing but wandering over items in the room … the couch, the afghan, the coffee table with a couple of magazines and (because we have a new puppy) a container for little things like guitar picks, and … the TV remote … with a PAUSE button.
I thought to myself how nice it would be if we all had pause buttons. Then I realized that we do (it’s called a choice) and what a cool post that might make.
We need to learn to pause and practice pausing.
pause to rest (even if it is just for two minutes)
pause to hear God
pause to think things through and do what you mean to do
pause when your husband is speaking to actually hear him
pause to reflect and be grateful
pause to gather your thoughts and speak more understandably
pause to consider other options
pause to ask questions and get a clearer picture
pause to enjoy the moment
Pausing is good stuff. (but what I really want to know is where the “PAWS” button is for puppies! … sorry, couldn’t resist.)
We do not remember days, we remember moments. Cesare Pavese
