Musical Moments

September 21, 2012

in the generous life

I ran across this amazing and unique flashmob on Pinterest. I couldn’t help think about the universal love of music as I watched the faces of the audience and the children dancing and “directing.” (Keep an eye out for that adorable child that climbs a lamppost. She shows up a couple of times.)

(If for some reason you can’t see the video, click here to see it on YouTube.)

At any rate, look for a way to share music with your sweetie. It could be slow dancing in the bedroom to your favorite music or going to the theater for a musical. Have a jazz evening on your living room couch or a karaoke night with friends.

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.  Berthold Auerbach

I LOVE that video! Many people say that they don’t like the symphony and would never attend a concert. However, in this case, you can see that great music is great music, and people do appreciate a wonderful melody beautifully played and sung. If we won’t go to the symphony, maybe the symphony should come to us. Thanks for sharing this, Lori!

Love that video! I had the same thought as J – “Look how much people enjoy this music, yet few people (including me!) ever go to concerts!” Thanks for sharing it.

I’m one of those “why don’t I do this more often?” folks. I love live performances. I need to keep an eye on what is happening around town.
