Plant Some Seeds

August 28, 2012

in the generous life

Do keep an eye on Sheila’s blog, To Love, Honor and Vacuum, over the month of September. She and a few blogging friends will be writing a number of encouragements and challenges. They are calling it ~ Revive Your Marriage. It looks to be great fun and you will hear different voices and perspectives on a number of marriage related topics.

This is where I do my periodic nag on continuing education.

It’s a good plan to follow a couple of marriage blogs, take a marriage class, read a marriage book, or spend some time at a marriage retreat. Be proactive. If you want your marriage to grow and be warm and intimate, start planting seeds so that you have something to harvest down the road.

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.  Chinese proverb

Amen to that! The day we stop learning how to create a more vibrant relationship is the day our marriage will begin to wither. We don’t water a plant, and then say, “There. You are all set for life.” We must keep refreshing our relationships as well! Thanks for the suggestion, and the link to the Better Wife exercise. I am headed over there now!
