My Coffee Cup is a Tool

July 31, 2012

in the generous life

Congratulations Kate. You won a garden coffee cup in the Treat on His Pillow Contest for being the 2nd poster. Thank you, generous wives, for sharing your small gift ideas.

I suggested in the original post that the coffee cup could help you remember to “bee generous” and “grow your marriage.” I know it sounds cute, but reminders actually can be helpful tools.

Why not use something like a heart sticker on your fridge to remind yourself to say a kind or encouraging word. A sticky note on your washer could remind you to pray for your husband.

What is it that you want to do? What do you want to make a habit? Find an item to use as a reminder and go for it!

Today’s action becomes tomorrow’s habit. Author Unknown

Woo hoo! I won! I will private message you on facebook my address. :) I PM’d your husband yesterday with a question. I hope he got it and can answer soon. I’ve been a deep prayer for a long time over what I talked to him about.

Lori, I sometimes wear a pinkie ring with dangles on it as a prayer reminder- when it gets my attention– which it does fairly often!– I pray. I love the idea of physical reminders… it’s so easy to get distracted and forget.

@M What a neat idea and jewelry goes where you go.
