Planning for Spontaneity

June 9, 2012

in the generous life

A friend of mine carries a quilt in her car for spur of the moment picnics.  I thought this was a lovely idea.  When an opportunity comes along, you want to be able to grab it. Having practical tools handy makes it easier to take advantage of those moments.

You can do this with any number of concepts like keeping a camera handy or having the makings of chocolate chip cookies in your pantry.  Being prepared for those things that bless your husband (and family and friends) makes those lovely spontaneous times possible.

What do you want to see more of in your marriage? What preparations can you do to make that easier?

The folks over at ONE Extraordinary Marriage had a great tip one time – keep a small bag with intimate items ready for those moments when you can have surprise intimacy. Things like a small container of lubricant, condom and a wipey. We love this tip and it has allowed us to have some very special “spontaneous” moments.

What a great idea! I never would have thought about that. I need to plan better for spontaneity. Thanks, Lori!
