Lose Your Shirts

June 8, 2012

in the generous life

Invite your husband to “topless day.” (That might have to be “topless evening” if you have kids. Ship them off to grandma’s for a couple of hours and lose your shirts.)

Close your curtains and spend the evening bare from the waist up. Snuggle up and watch a movie, play scrabble or share a scrumptious dessert. The point is to have some couple time where you can enjoy the view and the warmth of each other’s skin. If it leads to more, that’s OK too.

Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin.  Gwyneth Paltrow

This goes completely against my comfort zone, but completely WITH my view on Christian marriage. We often joke about Naked Saturdays…maybe this would be a good first step to making THAT happen.

My husband and I had what we called “Naked Night” before the in-laws came to visit.

Way to go @Amanda!

@Teacher I do understand. I think our culture’s standard for beauty makes being naked uncomfortable for most of us. I just continue to remind myself that it’s bunk and that my sweetie loves my curves.

I LOVE this! We used to do it a lot more often, but it hasn’t been as frequent since baby #3 came along!

Fabulous idea, and something we’ll definitely make time to do…
