Physical Too

in the generous life

Look for something physical to do with your spouse.

Yes, sex is an option, but I was thinking more of gardening together, playing tennis (or other sport) or taking a dance class. It’s healthy, it’s couple time and you are doing something physical together. Add physical to emotional, relational, spiritual, intellectual etc. for a well rounded relationship.

My sweetie and I walked about a mile to and from a baptism yesterday. The weather was lovely and we’re both trying to be better at finding ways to exercise. We looked at all the yards as we walked and got ideas that we can use for our yard. We chatted about this and that. We burned up a few calories.

Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.  John F. Kennedy

Great post!

I am a fitness professional and as a result I spend a lot of time working out and exercising.

My husband George is an executive and doesn’t get to “hit the gym” as often as he would like. However, we make time to do physical things together above and beyond just working out. Living in New York City, we walk everywhere together… Whenever the weather permits, we try to take a stroll in Central Park to get a taste of nature (and a break from all the buildings.)

Thank you for posting this and reminding us of how important it is to remain physically active!
