Mother’s Day Rap

May 13, 2012

in the generous life

I saw this video on Black and Married with Kids and just had to share it with y’all. Wow! This girl can rap! (I heard so many words come out of her mouth that came out of my own mouth when my kids were small, it’s hilarious! I especially liked the “don’t say ‘stupid’.”)

If the video here isn’t working for you, click this link.

Enjoy the day. Hug on your mom (or call her, pray for her, or remember her). If you are a mom, enjoy your kids and some family time. If Mother’s Day is a difficult day for you, for whatever reason, take the day off and do something that builds you up.

Any mother could perform the jobs of several air traffic controllers with ease.  Lisa Alther

Thank you so much for recognizing those of us that have difficult Mother’s Day – I have 5 beautiful children in heaven due to miscarriage, and find this day in particular a hard one. Mostly because the mothers who do not have the children to show for it go unrecognized. If we truly believe that life begins at conception, then we too are MOTHERS indeed!

@ Karie I have a couple of little ones in heaven too and friends who are dealing with infertility. I also have friends with broken relationships with their mum. Holidays can bring all kinds of stresses. I figure be wise and do what is best for you and your sweetie.

I bet there are many ode-to-Mommy videos out there popping out on Mother’s Day, but I only got to watch this and another declaring her love for her son with a very rare disease/handicap. Thanks for sharing this and I’m forever grateful of my mother who’s now in heaven.
