Moonlit Moment

May 7, 2012

in the generous life

The other evening my husband dragged me out to the car and off we went on one of his adventures ~ to see the supermoon. It was a bit cloudy, but we did get to see it as it rose into the night sky (and, yes, it did appear larger than normal).

It was fun. We had an adventure together. We talked. We held hands. We shared an experience of beauty.

And, honestly, it didn’t take that much time. It cost a few pennies worth of gas (to get to a point in our area where we could see past the buildings and trees (we have very tall trees where we live)).

I’m trying to learn from this. An invitation. A moment of beauty. That sounds like a recipe for romance.

The most beautiful view is the one I share with you.   Author Unknown

Actually it’s rather funny. The moment we could have seen the super moon, a huge thunderstorm happened. But we just decided to take a drive and enjoy the lightning instead. It was beautiful!

How fun! How I wish Tom and I could have enjoyed the night together, but Tom managed to make the best of it by texting me a picture of the moon as he saw it. I texted my view back to him. Today, we’re finally together on our way home for a good. No trip planned for me until our grandbaby #5 arrives in the next 6-7 weeks. God is good. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us. You guys are so much fun!
