Movie Time

April 10, 2012

in the generous life

I did watch  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (aff link) on Sunday. I curled up with my sweetie and we had a lovely, lazy afternoon. We haven’t done that in some time, so I think I’m going to plan to do that again every month or so. It was cheap, it was fun and we’ve had several nice conversations based on themes running throughout the movie. (gotta love C.S. Lewis)

I encourage you to use movies as a couple event. Watch one with your sweetie after the kids are in bed, watch a movie as a family or invite friends over to catch a flick. There are some great movies out there. Fun time and some concepts to discuss. Win/win.

The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder.  Alfred Hitchcocke

I love movie nights! My husband and I are trying to do it every 1-2 weeks, depending on his schedule. It’s simply wonderful to cuddle together and enjoy fellowship over a movie. We recently watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie – right before Easter – and it was wonderful preparation. I think we might do that every year. It’s not a stereotypical Easter movie, but it sure has some wonderful powerful themes of sacrifice, resurrection, and following God wholeheartedly.
