It’s a Big Thing!

in the generous life

Gary (of Safe at Home) wrote a lovely post ~ My Top Ten Great Family Easter Ideas. The reason that I liked it so much was that it was creative and gave action to belief. Some of his ideas were great for family. Some would be wonderful for a gathering of friends, believers and non-believers.

I don’t want Resurrection Day to become a holiday where you sit through the obligatory church service, find a few Easter eggs and eat a bit of ham. Christ rose from the dead and that is a BIG thing! We have eternity with Him because of what He did and I want that for all I meet!

I think I’m going to watch The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (aff link) this afternoon. Want to come to my house and watch it with me? Bring your friends (and munchies).

… I will show you my faith by my deeds.   James 2:18b  NIV

My husband and I just watched The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe last night. It definitely is a good movie to watch at this time of year!

We want to come! But by the time we would get there the munchies would be all gone from travel. I told our oldest son this morning before church that friends of ours were going to watch the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe this afternoon and invited everyone over . . . he said, “can we go?” He LOVES the LWW! Anyways, it was cute and I had to share.

You are so right . . . it is a BIG thing! The focus on these three days is so important for us. I too hope that all we meet will (if they don’t already) share in this big day. Jesus is alive! Oh happy day!

Thanks Lori as always for your beautiful insights! Blessings to you and Paul on this Easter celebration

PS I just LOVE your “books I’m reading” picture! LOVE IT! :)

@Kate I do wish we lived closer. I so enjoyed the movie. It struck me how the children grew into the vision of themselves that Aslan gave them. There’s a post in there somewhere.
